Annulments

Annulment is a way of ending a marriage, like divorce.Unlike divorce, you can get a marriage annulled at any time after the wedding (in a divorce, you have to wait at least a year). You may want an annulment if you have religious reasons for not wanting a divorce . However, you need to show either the marriage is not legally valid - ‘void’ marriages or is defective - ‘voidable’ marriages.

Domestic Violence

If you’re a victim of domestic violence and the person you want to be protected from (‘the respondent’) is someone you’re having or have had a relationship with, a family member, someone you’re living or have lived with, you can apply for a non-molestation order or an occupation order.
